The Baroque Film Festival Kicks Off in Chouf

The “Baroque Film Festival” kicks off on August 7.

Sponsored by the Ministries of Culture, Tourism, Media, and the Environment, and in collaboration with the Chouf Cedar Reserve.

The “Baroque Film Festival” committee announced in a statement that “this prominent cultural and environmental event takes place in the heart of the enchanting Chouf countryside to connect the seventh art with identity and sustainable development.”

It noted that “this festival seeks to provide an interactive and professional platform for independent filmmakers, young directors, and audiovisual students.

It also aims, first and foremost, to support promising film productions and highlight Lebanon’s cultural and natural heritage.

In addition, it seeks to draw attention to environmental issues and sustainable rural development through meaningful dialogue-based art.”

She explained that “this edition of the festival is distinguished by broad support from local partners and leading media organizations, ensuring exceptional coverage befitting the event’s stature.”
