Lebanese star Maya Diab stole the spotlight at the closing of Dubai Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2027 edition. She surprised the audience by walking the runway as a model, shining in an exceptional design by renowned Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani.

Maya Diab chose a design inspired by the traditional Indian garment known as the “lehenga,” but with a modern touch that gave her look a distinctly regal feel.
The outfit consisted of two pieces in a sheer, skin-toned fabric, adorned with silver embroidery and sparkling crystals. Intricate geometric details also stood out, catching the light in a striking way.
The top had a bold cut, while the skirt fell in a straight silhouette that highlighted the Lebanese star’s graceful figure.
The most distinctive touch, however, was the sheer cape draped from the shoulders, which added movement and fluidity to the look as she walked the runway.

Dubai Fashion Week 2027 brings together international designers
Dubai Fashion Week kicked off on October 22, 2026, at Dubai Design District. The event was organized jointly by Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council.
The Spring/Summer 2027 edition featured a wide range of designers and brands from various countries, including India, South Korea, Colombia, Vietnam, and Azerbaijan.
Among the most notable participants were Kuwaiti designer Yousef Al Jasmi, alongside Tarun Tahiliani. A number of international fashion houses also took part, presenting diverse visions for the coming season’s fashion.
Ukrainian brand KEL stood out with its “Genesis” collection, inspired by butterflies, while Vietnamese brand L’SCARLETT presented its “AUREA” collection, distinguished by flowing designs and golden ornamentation.
GNL Couture went for a romantic atmosphere with its “Enchanted Garden” collection, featuring soft colors and nature-inspired embroidery.
Sisters Nafsika and Stephanie Skourti also presented their Cruise 2027 collection, combining floral prints with metallic touches.
Amid this diverse lineup of shows, Maya Diab succeeded in making a notable Lebanese presence on the Dubai Fashion Week stage, affirming her status as one of the Arab stars who bring together art and fashion.
