The Chairman of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), Dr. Majed Menmneh, met with Tourism Minister Laura Lahoud.
The meeting addressed the importance of the tourism sector and its role in supporting the national economy.
They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between IDAL and the ministry to develop this sector and attract more investments to it.
The meeting touched on the pivotal role played by the tourism sector in stimulating economic growth, creating job opportunities, and boosting revenues.
It also addressed the sector’s contribution to highlighting Lebanon’s tourism, cultural, and natural assets, which serve as a key lever for strengthening the country’s position as an attractive destination on the regional and international tourism map.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance IDAL’s role in supporting tourism development by promoting available investment opportunities, attracting local and foreign investments, providing suitable conditions for developing tourism projects, and enhancing Lebanon’s competitiveness as a tourism and investment destination.
The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between IDAL and the Ministry of Tourism, in a way that contributes to investing in available tourism potential, stimulating investment initiatives, supporting the growth of the tourism sector, and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
