Writer and author Dr. Sara Taleb Al-Sohail took part in launching the “Reading Marathon” events at Al-Khansaa Basic School in Al-Sarih, Irbid.
In her remarks, she emphasized “the place of the printed story in raising generations, noting that continuing to pursue the world of the child is not merely a literary stroll or a passing pastime, but rather an ascent to a throne of responsibility and a great trust that shapes the features of the future.”
She added that “the word we plant in a child’s mind today is his intellectual shield and the foundation for building a sound, creative personality.”
She stressed “the necessity of confronting the challenges of the present age.”
She said: “Our human and literary duty, at a time when screens are snatching away the minds of our children, calls for offering an enchanting alternative that holds the same appeal.”
Educators and organizers of the event praised Al-Sohail’s presence and participation.
They commended her unique ability to penetrate the world of childhood through an engaging educational approach that speaks to children’s minds and touches their hearts, so that the book remains always the most fitting and splendid harbor for building generations who will shape tomorrow with awareness and passion.
