In a home near the city of Hebron, Palestinian children have found a space to express, through drawing, what they are living through and what they hope for.
A Palestinian woman turned her home into an art center that welcomes them, allowing them to use colors to express experiences that are sometimes hard to put into words.
The initiative comes amid what children face from settler violence and military raids.
Through drawing, the participants can depict their fears, as well as the places and days they dream of.
In this way, the artwork becomes an opportunity to hear the child’s voice and make room for their imagination.
The story of this center shows that small initiatives can create a warmer space for children.
Even under difficult circumstances. Having a place that welcomes their ideas and encourages their creativity gives them a chance to express themselves and feel that someone is listening to them.
