Sidon has launched two initiatives, “Eco Sidon” and “Sidon Brings Us Together,” aimed at boosting youth participation in environmental and community work.
The two initiatives are working in direct coordination with the Sidon municipality and the municipal environment committee, opening the door to broader cooperation in serving the city.
According to the launch statement, the move aims to encourage young people to take part in environmental causes and to strengthen the partnership between the municipality, civil society and residents.
The initiatives also seek to raise awareness of the importance of keeping Sidon clean and safeguarding the health of its residents, while supporting efforts to make the city more sustainable.
They give young people and members of the local community the opportunity to contribute to the care of their city’s environment, reinforcing their sense of shared responsibility.
In this context, the Sidon municipality and the environment committee affirmed their commitment to supporting youth initiatives and continuing coordination with them.
The launch of “Eco Sidon” and “Sidon Brings Us Together” reflects a push to widen public participation in environmental work and bring local energies together around a common goal: a cleaner, more aware Sidon.
