The Abreyn al-Batroun Association concluded its 29th annual summer sports festival.
The event culminated in an awards ceremony held in the courtyard of St. Charbel Church in Abreyn.
At the outset, the Association’s media director, Charbel Dargham, thanked “all those who participated in the festival’s activities despite the circumstances, as well as the supporters, official sponsors, and participating sports federations and clubs.”
He also thanked “all security forces, the Lebanese Red Cross, the town’s parish endowment, and the mayor and members of the Ibtrin Municipal Council, without whom the Association would not have been able to continue organizing its festival.”
Then, Association member and village mayor Naji Abu Khalil,
In collaboration with the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Athletics Federation, Dr. Wasim Al-Hawli,
and the Chairman of the Referees and Race Committee, Alan Bajani, he announced the results of the cross-country races, while Association member Cesar Saloum read the results of the cycling races.
Dharqam, Al-Hawli, and representatives of the Abreen Municipality—Sports Committee Chairman Jihad Fares and Joyce Abi Khattar—
along with Association member Elias Elias, distributed the trophies, shields, and commemorative gifts to the winners.
A cocktail reception was then held in the municipal park.
