Lebanon Weather: High Humidity and Fog

The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation predicted:

Tomorrow’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and rising temperatures in the mountains and inland areas.

Meanwhile, temperatures will drop slightly along the coast, with high humidity.

The following bulletin was issued:

– General Conditions: Typical summer weather prevails over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin, with high humidity in coastal areas.

Temperatures are above seasonal averages in inland areas and in the mountains.

Average temperatures for September: Tripoli between 22 and 32 °C.

Beirut: 24–32°C; Zahle: 16–32°C.

Thursday:

Partly cloudy with a slight drop in temperatures and an increase in humidity.

Fog will form in the highlands in the evening, and the weather will become partly cloudy.

Friday:

Partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and rising temperatures in the mountains.

Inland temperatures will rise slightly, while temperatures along the coast will drop slightly, with high humidity.

Saturday:

Partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and no significant change in temperatures over the mountains and inland.

Temperatures will rise slightly along the coast, accompanied by high humidity, which will increase the sensation of heat.

Sunday:

Partly cloudy with fog in the highlands; temperatures will remain largely unchanged, and humidity will remain high.

-Temperatures along the coast will range from 22 to 32 degrees.

In the mountains, from 15 to 28 degrees.

Inland, from 16 to 34 degrees.
-Surface winds: Northwest to northeast during the day.

Light and variable at night, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h.
-Visibility: Average along the coast, occasionally poor in the highlands due to fog.
– Relative humidity on the coast: between 50 and 80%.
– Sea conditions: low wave height; water surface temperature: 29 degrees.
– Atmospheric pressure: 759 mm Hg.
