Valencia fans protested against club officials and players.
This came after a heavy 0–5 loss to Barcelona at Mestalla Stadium on Sunday evening.
as part of the Spanish soccer league.
Several thousand fans gathered outside Mestalla Stadium.
They chanted slogans calling the players “mercenaries.”
They also demanded that club president Kiat Lim and team owner Peter Lim step down.
Valencia fans attacked the players and coach Carlos Corberan with boos from the very first minutes.
The chants and boos intensified again when the final whistle blew.
Kiat Lim took over as president of Valencia in 2025.
