The play *And the Word Remains a Homeland* was presented by students from the French section of the “Chouf National College in Baakline” – Chouf, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
The play *And the Word Remains a Homeland* was part of a cultural and educational initiative aimed at reviving the Arabic language.
It also sought to empower students to express themselves creatively and to restore appreciation for the beauty of recitation, theater, and poetry.
The performance was attended by Ghazi Saab, representative of the Ministry of Culture and director of the National Library in Baakline, Chouf.
Also in attendance were guest of honor Betty Tuttle, as well as figures from the educational, cultural, and media sectors.
This theatrical production “affirms that language is not merely a tool for communication, but rather a memory, an identity, and a bridge connecting generations to their cultural and civilizational heritage.”
She continued: “The performance embodied an artistic vision that combined words, images, music, and theatrical performance.”
She concluded: “It is a call to rediscover the beauty of the Arabic language and the power of expression it offers.”
