The workshop of the agricultural development project was launched at the site of the Patriarch Park, Diman, known for its green spaces.
The Agricultural Project in the Patriarchs’ Park is a project based on the expansion of the areas and cultivated land. This is achieved on the site.
The project is based on a partnership and cooperation charter between the Knights of Malta and the “Patriarchal Association of Kannoubin for Mission and Heritage.” It is also supported by the Monastery of St. Stephen of the Antonine Sisters. Furthermore, these partners have agreed to advance agricultural development together.
It focuses on the rehabilitation of areas of the Maronite Patriarchate’s properties placed at the disposal of the project.
The works also included irrigation extensions, protection, and a care and follow-up plan.
The head of the Monastery of St. Stephen of the Antonine Sisters, Lina Al-Khond, pointed out that “the artisan operator is the most important developmental facility for the site of the Patriarchs’ Park.”
Agricultural “green spaces” are an essential element of the integrated development between the production and marketing of municipal mortar. They also play a role in distillation. Moreover, they are also vital for the production of ecclesiastical art.
