The mayor of Baalbek, Attorney Ahmad al-Tufayli, launched the “Baalbek Nights” program.
The event will take place near Baalbek Castle on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, September 18, 19, and 20, featuring a wide range of artistic, cultural, and heritage activities.
Al-Tafili explained that the events convey a message of resilience and unity.
They also underscore the atmosphere of security and safety in Baalbek and the area surrounding its castle.
They also aim to provide a space for joy and to revitalize tourism, cultural activities, and commerce as the summer season draws to a close.
The first night kicks off with a concert by artist Majd al-Fouani, featuring the bands “Juzur” and “Shams Baalbek.”
There will also be a Baalbek horse show. The second night will combine poetry and stand-up comedy with Ali Al-Masri.
There will also be performances by the “Ukaz” and “Arous al-Bekaa” troupes, as well as a set by “DJ AMIR” and a special light show.
The Baalbek Nights will conclude with a poetry evening featuring “Poet of the Cedar” Bilal Al-Abdullah, alongside artists Rabih Al-Omari and Haidar Zaiter, and the “Hanjala” band, followed by a concert by artist Roni Kasr and his band.
The municipality has designated free parking spaces inside the castle parking lot near Al-Manshiyya.
It also announced that the Castle Road will be closed from the Shoman Hotel to the “Balbalbaki” restaurant between September 16 and 20 for renovation work and event organization.
