Saudi Awqaf Deposits $488 Million in Profits: The General Authority for Saudi Awqaf announced that it has begun depositing the profits earned during the first half of fiscal year 2026.
These profits pertain to the endowment real estate funds deposited with the Authority.
This step is part of the Authority’s efforts to grow endowment returns, achieve sustainability, and improve the efficiency of asset management.
The Authority clarified that the total cumulative profits from the start of the investment until the end of the first half of 2026 amounted to approximately $488 million.
This is equivalent to 1.83 billion Saudi riyals.
Approximately 1,797 waqfs benefited from these returns, reflecting the effectiveness of the adopted investment strategies.
The profits include funds from endowed real estate properties that were expropriated for the public interest or for which a court order was issued authorizing their disposal.
The Authority invests these funds according to professional principles that prioritize capital preservation, investment diversification, risk management, and the achievement of sustainable returns, while adhering to the conditions set by the endowers.
The Authority called on endowment trustees to check their accrued profits via the “Awqaf” digital services platform, using the “Fund Investment Authorization” service.
It also urged those who are not yet registered to sign up to take advantage of the available services and monitor their endowments.
The Authority continues to develop the endowment sector and strengthen its governance, thereby supporting economic and social development and solidarity in the Kingdom.
