Samir Khalifa presents three new books to Joseph Kossaifi

The head of the Lebanese Press Editors Syndicate, Joseph Kossaifi, received poet and writer Samir Khalifa at his office in the syndicate.

Khalifa presented Kossaifi with his latest work, comprising three books. The first, titled “Dallayt Zakzak Damaati ta Dhikit,” contains poetic texts written in Lebanese colloquial language.

The second, “Ouyounak Marakib Sayd wal Achek Bahr,” is a collection of poems in colloquial Arabic.

The third contains literary texts written in classical Arabic.

Khalifa invited the head of the editors’ syndicate to attend the signing ceremony for these publications, which will include a symposium on their themes.

Speakers at the event will include poet Ghassan Matar and Salaf Abdallah from the “Issam Abdallah” foundation, as well as Sarba Mayor Samir Oweiss. The event will take place on October 16 at the Jean El Hawa Municipal Palace in Sarba.

Syndicate head Joseph Kossaifi thanked poet and writer Samir Khalifa for his visit and for the gift of his new publications.

He highlighted Khalifa’s poetic talent, which has drawn admirers and critics alike, all in agreement on the aesthetic richness that distinguishes his work.

He also noted the innovative imagery drawn from Khalifa’s imagination, rooted in untouched nature and its many transformations, as well as the human suffering that gave his work a transparency evident in the poetic texts that flowed from his pen like a torrent carrying the promise of fertility.

He also pointed to the spirit of revolution and all the emotions that interact within these images.

Kossaifi wished poet Khalifa steadfastness in the field of creativity and giving, in a way that enriches the Lebanese and Arab literary scene at a time when it is in dire need of work that combines quality with distinction.
