New Leadership for the Union of Beirut Families: The headquarters of the Union of Beirut Families Associations hosted a handover ceremony between the outgoing and newly elected administrative bodies.
The event was attended by Presidents Muhyiddin Kashli and Walid Kabbani, along with members.
Kashli opened the meeting with a speech in which he congratulated the new administrative body and wished it success and guidance in its efforts to advance the Federation and achieve its goals.
He reviewed the achievements of the previous administrative body under his leadership, as well as the projects it undertook and successfully completed despite the difficulties it faced.
Among these challenges were the repercussions of the wars in Lebanon and the region.
Union President Walid Kabbí praised the achievements made, the most notable of which was the acquisition of a headquarters for the Union.
He stressed the need to institutionalize the Union so that the new administrative body can build upon the achievements of its predecessor and continue to advance toward further accomplishments and development.
It was then agreed to hold bilateral meetings between members of the executive boards of both bodies to ensure a formal and practical handover process between the parties involved.
The elected administrative body had previously announced that it would welcome professionals to celebrate its election at 5:00 p.m. next Tuesday.
