The Lebanese taekwondo team won four medals (two silver and two bronze) in the men’s and women’s divisions.
On the first day of the “Al-Hassan Open Taekwondo Championship,” held in the Jordanian capital of Amman,
Charbel Raad (over 87 kg) and Raphael Qadsi (under 63 kg) each won a silver medal.
Mark Zreife (under 58 kg) and Mandy Abi Hila (under 53 kg) each won a bronze medal.
Lebanon is participating in the tournament in the men’s and women’s categories for the 15–17 and 12–14 age groups.
The head of the Lebanese delegation, national coach and Grand Master Elie Elia, stated that Lebanon is likely to win more medals
This comes after the country won two silver and two bronze medals in the men’s and women’s categories following the conclusion of the competitions in those age groups.
