The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expects tomorrow’s weather to be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with dense fog over the northern highlands.
Temperatures will rise along the coast while dropping in the mountains and inland; winds will occasionally pick up in the north of the country, accompanied by higher sea swells.
The following bulletin was issued:
-General Conditions: Typical summer weather prevails over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin, with high humidity.
Temperatures are above seasonal averages in inland areas but will begin to drop starting Tuesday, accompanied by increased wind speeds.
Average temperatures for September: Tripoli between 22 and 32°C.
Beirut: 24–32°C; Zahle: 16–32°C.
-Weather forecast for Lebanon:
Monday: Partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and a slight rise in temperatures over the mountains and inland,
while temperatures remain unchanged along the coast, accompanied by high humidity.
Tuesday: Scattered clouds to partly cloudy with dense fog in the northern highlands.
Temperatures will rise along the coast while dropping in the mountains and inland.
Winds will occasionally pick up in the north of the country, accompanied by higher waves.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy with fog in the highlands and a slight drop in temperatures.
Winds will also pick up, occasionally reaching 50 km/h in the south of the country, with higher sea swells.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with a further drop in temperatures, especially inland and in the mountains.
Humidity will remain high, and fog will form in the mid-elevation areas.
-Temperatures along the coast will range from 21 to 34 degrees.
In the mountains, temperatures will range from 17 to 28 degrees, and inland from 19 to 35 degrees.
-Surface winds: Southwesterly, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h.
-Visibility: Good along the coast; moderate to occasionally poor at mid-elevations due to fog.
-Relative humidity on the coast: between 60 and 80 percent.
-Sea conditions: low waves; water surface temperature: 29°C
-Atmospheric pressure: 761 mm Hg.
