Lebanon Weather: Temperatures to Rise Through Friday

The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation expects Lebanon’s weather tomorrow to be partly cloudy with rising temperatures.

In addition, temperatures will exceed seasonal averages in the lowlands and highlands, with fog forming over the mid-elevation mountains in the evening.

The following bulletin was issued:

-General Conditions: The eastern Mediterranean basin is being affected by hot air masses originating from the Arabian Peninsula, leading to a rise in temperatures in Lebanon.

Temperatures will exceed seasonal averages, accompanied by increased humidity, which will heighten the sensation of heat, especially in coastal areas.

This influence will continue until Friday, when it will begin to gradually subside and winds will pick up, occasionally reaching 50 km/h.

Average temperatures for July: Tripoli between 23 and 31 degrees.

Beirut between 24 and 32 degrees; Zahle between 18 and 34 degrees.

-Weather Forecast for Lebanon:

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with fog in the highlands and rising temperatures.

This will be accompanied by high humidity along the coast, which will increase the sensation of heat.

Temperatures will exceed seasonal averages.

Wednesday: Light cloud cover with rising temperatures exceeding seasonal averages inland and in the highlands.

Fog will form over the mid-elevation mountains in the evening.

Higher temperatures

Thursday: Scattered clouds with temperatures higher than average inland and over the mountains.

Humidity will remain high along the coast and in the mid-elevation mountains.

This will increase the sensation of heat, and winds will pick up starting in the afternoon.

Fog in the highlands

Friday: Scattered clouds to partly cloudy with fog in the highlands.

Temperatures will drop inland and in the mountains.

Meanwhile, they will rise slightly in coastal areas.

Humidity will be low, with active winds occasionally reaching 50 km/h.

This will also lead to higher sea swells.

-Temperatures along the coast will range from 24 to 32 degrees; in the mountains,

from 19 to 32 degrees; inland, from 20 to 36 degrees.

-Surface winds: southwesterly, with speeds between 10 and 30 km/h.

-Visibility: moderate

-Relative humidity on the coast: between 60 and 85 percent.

-Sea conditions: low waves; water surface temperature: 28 degrees.

– Finally, atmospheric pressure: 758 mm Hg.
