Saudi Arabia’s General Real Estate Authority has announced the launch of in-kind property registration for around 11,750 real estate units in the regions of Medina, Qassim and Tabuk.
Registration will begin on October 11, 2026, and continue until January 14, 2027.
The registration process covers specific neighborhoods and real estate areas within the three regions.
The Authority will also announce, in stages, the remaining governorates and neighborhoods to be included in the registration across the Kingdom’s various regions.
Steps for in-kind real estate registration
The Authority explained that property owners can complete initial registration through the electronic real estate registry platform or at service centers.
Registration requires a title deed that meets the regulatory requirements.
Accordingly, owners of properties included in the process have been urged to review their title deeds and confirm that the required conditions are met before registration begins.
They can inquire about the procedures through the Authority’s official platforms or by contacting the customer service center at 199002.
These channels allow owners to learn about the registration steps and prepare to complete their transactions within the specified period.
Documenting ownership and enhancing transparency
With the start of registration, each registered property will receive a property number and an ownership registration deed.
The deed includes the property’s data, description and condition, in addition to the rights and obligations associated with it.
This data is also linked to precise geospatial information, supporting the development and sustainability of the real estate sector’s infrastructure.
In-kind real estate registration aims to increase the reliability of property ownership and enhance transparency.
It also provides clear documentation of property data and associated rights, supporting the organization of the real estate sector.
