Graduation of the Fashion Design Program at the Lebanese American University: The Presence of Aoun and Saab

The Faculty of Architecture and Design – Fashion Design Program at the Lebanese American University (LAU) celebrated the graduation of the tenth cohort of the Fashion Design Program at the Lebanese American University.

In addition, an artistic fashion show was held on the university’s campus in Byblos, which was characterized by the beauty and sophistication of graduation projects

The students at the graduation of the fashion design program at the Lebanese American University also presented unique approaches, which translated their vision into distinct creations, embodying the will to live.

The first Lebanese and faces and personalities

The ceremony was attended by a crowd of faces and personalities, presented by the first Lebanese woman, Mrs. Nemat Aoun, the international designer Elie Saab and his son Ellie.

At the beginning, the ceremony host, Souad Habqa Jabr, pointed out the importance of the fashion industry.

Then, the President of the University, Dr. Shawki Abdullah, welcomed the attendees, foremost of whom was the First Lady.

Moreover, he described the occasion as a night of celebration of talent and creativity.

The Importance of Creative Industries

He considered that the presence of the first Lebanese woman reflects her support for the importance of creative industries for the future of Lebanon.

The President of the University considered that fashion occupies a distinctive place in the history of Lebanon, and expresses creativity.

Elie Saab Jr. praised the graduates for continuing their studies despite the difficult conditions and wars.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Elie Haddad, expressed admiration for the students’ perseverance and dedication.

Prizes Distribution to Winners

“Jury Award” to Malak Al-Ayyash.

In addition to the “Excellence in Concept Development Award” to Miriam Atallah.

The “Award for Excellence in Craftsmanship” went to Reem Daher.

For her part, Leah Fares received the “Award for Excellence in Construction and Technology”.

At the end, Elias Makhoul handed him a prize.
