The Faculty of Media at the Lebanese University—Second Branch celebrated the graduation of a new class of bachelor’s degree students under the name “The Cedar Class.”
The ceremony took place at the Hotel and Conference Center in Raboueh, under the patronage and in the presence of the President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran.
The graduating class included students majoring in journalism and media studies, advertising and marketing communications, public relations, and corporate communications,
as well as data science. The ceremony was attended by a number of academic, media, political, and religious figures, along with faculty members and the graduates’ families.
In her speech, Dr. Dania Jreij, Director of the Second Branch, emphasized the importance of commitment to the truth and professional responsibility.
She stressed that a successful journalist is one who understands the impact of information before publishing it.
For her part, the Dean of the School of Media, Dr. Jocelyn Nader, called on the graduates to remain true to their homeland and identity, and to face the challenges of the digital age with awareness and responsibility.
Lebanese University President Dr. Bassam Badran affirmed that, in addition to their degrees, the graduates carry a national and ethical mission.
He called on them to be a voice for the truth and the conscience of society.
The Lebanese University School of Media’s graduation ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas and the taking of commemorative photos.
