Banque du Caire has announced its intention to list 30% of its capital on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
This will be done by selling 4.575 billion existing shares owned by Banque Misr. The Banque du Caire offering includes a public tranche for subscribers inside Egypt, as well as a private tranche for qualified investors locally and in international markets.
The bank explained that the subscription process is expected to be completed near the end of October 2026, with share trading set to begin during November.
These dates remain contingent on completing regulatory approvals, including approval of the offering prospectus and listing of the shares.
Hussein Abaza, Managing Director and CEO, said the step represents an important milestone in the bank’s history, which spans more than 70 years.
The bank also selected CI Capital and EFG Hermes to coordinate the offering and manage the subscription book.
