The General Directorate of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced a new decision concerning the 2026 colloquium exams.
The Directorate will not hold the clinical and practical exams during the first session. Instead, it will begin applying these exams from the second session.
The decision covers the clinical exam for general medicine and the practical exam for pharmacy.
The Ministry had previously issued several announcements to organize these exams. It also set dates for candidates who passed the written exams during the first session.
Before reaching the decision, the Ministry held discussions with the Ministry of Public Health. It also consulted the medical associations in Beirut and Tripoli.
In addition, officials consulted the head of the Litigation Authority at the Ministry of Justice. The Minister of Education and Higher Education also approved the new approach.
Under the new plan, the Ministry will introduce the clinical and practical exams during the second session of the colloquium exams.
The second session is scheduled between November and December 2026.
The Directorate said the Minister of Education and Higher Education will issue the required official decision under the established administrative procedures.
The new measure will therefore take effect after the Ministry completes the necessary legal and administrative steps.
