The Lebanese University celebrated the graduation of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration—Branch 6
and the Faculty of Public Health—Seventh Branch—at the Independence Castle Amphitheater in Rashaya, under the patronage and in the presence of University President Professor Bassam Badran.
Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri and Member of Parliament Wael Abu Faour participated in the ceremony.
They were joined by deans, academic officials, and political, religious, educational, and social figures, as well as the graduates’ families and friends.
Badran emphasized that Lebanese University graduates are equipped with the tools for reform and change.
He called on them to use their knowledge to serve society and the nation.
He noted that the ceremony coincides with the university’s Diamond Jubilee, as it has graduated more than 350,000 students over the past 75 years.
For his part, Mitri stressed the importance of investing in people and unleashing the potential of young people.
He maintained that knowledge and national responsibility form the foundation of any genuine renaissance in Lebanon.
For his part, Abu Faour announced the continued development of the Lebanese University branch in Rashaya through the introduction of new majors and the strengthening of partnerships with public and private institutions.
He revealed that a hospitality academy is set to open soon and that work is underway to launch programs related to the agricultural and mechatronics industries.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas to the graduates, amid an atmosphere of pride and hope for a future shaped by knowledge and competence.
