“Sair al-Souq” Festival Opens in Sair al-Danniyeh
The “Sair al-Souq” festival opened in Gamal Abdel Nasser Square in Sair al-Danniyeh. The event was organized by the Municipality of Sair in collaboration with the Utopia Association.
The opening ceremony was attended by former MP Sami Fatfat and Minieh-Danniyeh District Governor Jean Al-Khouli. President of the Northern Labor Union Shadi Al-Sayyed was also present.
In addition, the event welcomed Mustafa Sa’ada, President of the Union of Danniyeh Municipalities. Sair Mayor Samer Diab Housher also attended, alongside local dignitaries and a large crowd of residents.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem. Afterward, officials cut the ribbon to officially open the festival.
Attendees then toured the square and visited the different exhibition stands. They praised the artisans, professionals, and community activists taking part in the event.
Moreover, exhibitors presented a wide variety of locally produced items. These included handicrafts, paintings, and other creative products.
The displays highlighted the economic, cultural, and social identity of Sair and the wider Danniyeh region.
Meanwhile, Mayor Samer Diab Housher explained that preparations for the festival required significant time and effort. He said the municipality worked to ensure that visitors would be welcomed in the best possible way.
In addition, the municipality coordinated with the Union of Danniyeh Municipalities, police, and security agencies. Their cooperation helped organize the event and manage traffic around the festival area.
As a result, organizers aimed to provide visitors with a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the festival.
Housher also emphasized the tourism and economic potential of the region. He said that Danniyeh deserves to become an important tourist and economic destination.
Finally, he highlighted the hospitality and generosity for which the area is known. He invited visitors to discover Danniyeh and contribute to bringing greater activity and vitality to the region.
