On the occasion of the Music Festival, the town of Qubayyat in Akkar commemorated the occasion for two consecutive days.
The music festival in Qubayyat was organized by the “Cultural Salon” in cooperation with the municipality of Qubayyat and the “Insan Foundation” at the Silk Heritage Tourism Factory.
A Distinguished Program on the Main Street
In addition, a program was held on the town’s main street, which was closed specifically to commemorate the occasion.
Hundreds of people from the town and the neighborhood also participated, in the presence of Mayor Michel Abdo and a crowd of participants.
Everyone enjoyed the most beautiful music.
Dr. Antoine Daher also pointed out that “this year’s Music Day celebrations were characterized by their spread over two consecutive days.”
He continued: “In addition to the active participation of the municipality of Qubayyat in Eid.”

The head of the Cultural Salon, Dr. George Daher, pointed out that “Eid has become a station that the people of the region wait for in the longest day of every year.”
The mayor also stressed “the importance of encouraging these cultural activities.”
He pointed out that “the Music Day has become an annual stop among the artistic tourist stations.”
A special evening
The celebration began with an evening filled with the distinctive sounds of the Qubayyat Choir, under the direction of Youssef Fahd.
Then there were music clips and songs by Fairuz and Ziad Rahbani.
The audience reacted to the voice of the young George Maarabes and others.
The last date was with the Lami Conservatoire School, led by Elias Chamoun.
Finally, the feast ended on the main street, which was blazing with singing and singing with promising young talents, until late at night.
