The dream of Qleiaat Airport has become a reality

After long years of anticipation and demands, Qleiaat Airport is now a tangible reality, with a massive celebration being held and significant participation.

Qleiaat Airport is located in Lebanon’s Akkar region, a long-standing demand whose discussion has been repeatedly postponed.

The “René Mouawad” Airport in Qleiaat will help alleviate pressure on Beirut Airport, especially with the increasing number of travelers and the inability of a single airport to accommodate them.

Furthermore, after its opening, the airport will contribute to the development of the historically deprived Akkar region.

Qleiaat Airport will also provide thousands of job opportunities for youth in the North in general, and Akkar in particular.

Aircraft have landed on its runway to participate in the celebration, making it almost certain that it will be ready for operation soon.

A political delegation, including Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, US Ambassador Michel Issa, and a host of other figures, participated in the opening ceremony.
