The Asian Regional Office of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced the groups for the upcoming “Wasel 2026” tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Nihad Nofal Complex in Zouk Mikhael from September 25 to October 1, 2026, following the draw.
The draw divided the eight participating teams into two groups, as follows:
Group A:
Al-Riyadi (Lebanon), Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait (Kuwait), and Adyan (India).
Group B:
Gorgan (Iran), Al-Ula (Saudi Arabia), Al-Arabi (Qatar), and Al-Hikma (Lebanon).
The teams will compete in the group stage in a single-round-robin format.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals.
The match schedule and kickoff times are expected to be announced soon.
