S&P 500 Index: Supported by Artificial Intelligence

Major brokerage firms expect the S&P 500 index to continue its record gains throughout 2026.

This is driven by momentum in artificial intelligence and strong U.S. corporate earnings.

The highest estimates reach 8,100 points, indicating continued optimism about the performance of U.S. stocks.

Financial institutions’ targets for the index range between 7,100 and 8,100 points.

Bank of America set its estimate at 7,100 points.

Meanwhile, Jefferies, Canaccord Genuity, and BNP Paribas expect the index to reach 7,500 points.

In contrast, Barclays and Seaport Research have set their target at 7,800 points.

HSBC projected a level of 7,650 points, and Evercore ISI projected 7,750 points.

RBC Capital Markets and UBS Wealth Management also forecast the index would reach 7,900 points, while Wells Fargo raised its estimate to 7,950 points.

J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Société Générale all projected a level of 8,000 points.

The highest target of 8,100 points came from UBS Research, Citigroup, and Oppenheimer, reflecting confidence in the market’s continued strength.
