International star Saint Levant has released the album “Afandi,” marking a new artistic direction that blends contemporary music with Arab identity.
The album presents a vision inspired by Arab culture, but with a modern style that resonates with audiences across the region and around the world.
“Afendi” is produced by SALXCO UAM | VIRGIN MUSIC GROUP,
and marks a new chapter in Saint Levant’s career as he continues to solidify his presence on both the Arab and global scenes.
The “Afandi” album recaptures the spirit of Arab stars
Saint Levant drew inspiration for the atmosphere of his new album from the calm charisma that characterized great Arab stars, including George Wassouf and Kazem Al-Saher.
The album also reimagines the “Afandi” persona in a modern light a figure who embodies self-confidence, elegance, and simplicity,
while at the same time preserving its Arab roots and identity.
Through this vision, Saint Levant seeks to create a musical space that bridges the past and the present, presenting Arab culture in a way that resonates with new generations.
12 Songs on Saint Levant’s New Album
The album “Afandi” features 12 songs, including two previously released by Saint Levant: “Sabah Al-Ward” and “Mitsubishi.”
The song “Mitsubishi” marked Saint Levant’s first artistic collaboration with star Haifa Wehbe.
In addition, the album includes a collection of new songs, most notably “Masakra,” which Saint Levant chose as the lead single for the album.
The tracklist also includes: “Layl al-Sahranin,” “Cinderella,” “Like the Moon Setting,” “Manaya,” “Muslahjiya,” “Sahran wa Nasi,” “Warda,” “Hawa,” and “Ra’ih Wen?”
Saint Levant and Mohammed Assaf in “Masakara”
The song “Masakara” is in the Arab pop style and reflects a fundamental aspect of Saint Levant’s musical identity.
Palestinian artist Mohammed Assaf features on the track, in a collaboration that brings together two voices deeply rooted in Palestinian and Arab culture.
“Maskara” carries an atmosphere inspired by Palestine in its details and celebrates the beauty and presence of Arab women.
At the same time, the song evokes elements of local culture and Arab folk memory.
With its modern beat, the song blends a sense of belonging with a celebration of beauty and culture, in a style that seeks to reach a wider global audience.
Saint Levant filmed the music video for “Masakara” in Amman, produced by Vanta, with its release scheduled to coincide with the album’s launch.
Saint Levant: “Afandi” is a Bridge Between the Past and the Present
Speaking about his new project, Saint Levant said that, for him, the album represents a celebration of an identity that has long inspired him and influenced his artistic journey.
He added that he wanted to recapture the spirit of a generation that left its mark on music, fashion, and culture—but through a vision that reflects his current artistic persona.
Saint Levant explained that the “Afandi” album is an attempt to build a bridge between the past and the present,
and to demonstrate the power of authentic identity to resonate with different generations despite the passage of time.
The “Layali Al-Afandi” Tour in Europe and North America
Coinciding with the album’s release, Saint Levant is preparing for a global concert tour titled “Layali Al-Afandi,”
which will include a number of cities in Europe and North America.
The tour is not limited to a traditional concert but is based on an artistic experience that combines music, scenography, and storytelling within a cinematic atmosphere.
Saint Levant drew inspiration for “Layali Al-Afandi” from the golden age of the Levant’s cabarets,
and from the nightlife, music, and fashion that were part of the Arab cultural scene.
Through “Afandi,” Saint Levant continues to present an artistic project that transcends the boundaries of music to encompass culture and fashion,
affirming that Arab identity is capable of preserving its authenticity while simultaneously renewing itself.
