Lebanon’s national gymnastics team continues its intensive training in preparation for upcoming competitions.
Engineer Bachir Zoghaib, vice president of the Lebanese Gymnastics Federation, affirmed during his oversight of the training sessions that the current phase represents a key step in developing gymnastics in Lebanon and building a strong national team capable of competing.
“What we are seeing today, in terms of enthusiasm and commitment from our male and female athletes, reflects the image we want for Lebanese gymnastics,” Zoghaib said.
He added that the national team’s training and the ongoing gathering of male and female athletes form the cornerstone of the federation’s plan for the coming period.
He continued: “We want every athlete who wears the national team’s colors to feel that a federation stands behind them, working on their behalf, and that representing Lebanon is both a responsibility and a source of pride.”
He called on every athlete in Lebanon, male or female, who has talent, ambition and the desire to improve to work hard and take part in the championships and competitions organized by the federation.
He noted that the doors of the national team will remain open to anyone who proves their worth and technical level, regardless of any other considerations.
He said there is still a lot of work ahead, but the enthusiasm is great and the ambition even greater, and that the federation will keep working step by step until Lebanese gymnastics achieves the presence and standing it deserves on the Arab, continental and international stage.
