Lebanese Youth Achievement in Huawei Global Competition

AUST University announced in a statement that its students achieved second place globally in Huawei’s global Information and Communications Technology (ICT) competition in China.

Outstanding Lebanese Achievement

Additionally, it stated: “This is a distinguished international achievement by the university’s Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science students on the global stage.”

Grand Prize at the Middle East Level

It added: “In the global finals of the 10th Huawei ICT Competition held in Shenzhen, China, the Lebanese national team participating in the Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence track won the grand prize at the Middle East level.

They also secured second place globally among 131 elite teams selected from over 210,000 participants worldwide.

Two distinguished students, Mariam Zaiter and Mounir Rizkallah, represented the university, achieving a well-deserved global victory through their technical performance.

Achievement Reflects Huawei’s Strength at the University

It further clarified that “this achievement reflects the academic strength of Huawei at the university and the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science in providing high-quality education aligned with industry requirements.”

This enables students to acquire skills that qualify them for international levels in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

Finally, “it highlights the continuous efforts of Huawei’s academic leadership at the university to strengthen communication bridges between academia and industry.”

It also “helps empower students through advanced training, professional certification pathways, and practical learning experiences.”
