It also helps to support hotels, restaurants, and tourism establishments that rely heavily on the summer tourist traffic.

Visitor and expat spending is an important factor in moving local markets.

It also reflects positively on thousands of workers in the tourism sector and related services. Furthermore, it supports the tourist season in Lebanon.

Positive indicators despite challenges

The call coincides with efforts to reach a final ceasefire.

Many Lebanese regions are also witnessing a gradual return to normal activity. This happens as various summer festivals and events are being launched.

Al-Ashkar pointed out that the capital Beirut and the Rafik Hariri International Airport have remained outside the circle of escalation during the past period.

This contributed to the continuation of the economic and tourism movement and the return of many activities to normal.

The Lebanese Diaspora is a Partner in Supporting the Nation

Al-Ashkar stressed that the Lebanese expatriates have always been by the side of their homeland in difficult circumstances.

Therefore, the tourism sector is counting on their contribution to enhancing economic resilience during the current phase.

He also expressed optimism about the efforts led by President Joseph Aoun to restore confidence in Lebanon and consolidate stability.
