European stocks rose to a new record high on Thursday.
Amid investor optimism about a potential agreement between the United States and Iran and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.4% to 660 points.
It continued to hit record highs for the third consecutive session.
Meanwhile, investors focused on European corporate earnings.
Earnings growth forecasts for companies in the Stoxx 600 index for the second quarter rose to about 21%, compared with previous forecasts of 12.5%.
Deutsche Telekom shares also rose 5.5%.
This followed the expansion of its share buyback program to 5 billion euros, which bolstered the European telecommunications sector.
The food and beverage sector also rose by 1%.
Meanwhile, the technology sector posted a modest gain of 0.1%.
Investors are awaiting eurozone retail sales data to assess the strength of consumer spending and market trends in the coming period.
