Murex d’Or 2026 will take place on Saturday, September 5, at Casino du Liban,
bringing together a select group of stars from the worlds of acting, drama,
music and entertainment in Lebanon and across the Arab world.
The prestigious ceremony celebrates its 26th edition this year after more than two decades of honoring outstanding artistic achievements.
Over the years, the Murex d’Or has established itself as one of the region’s best-known
entertainment awards, celebrating excellence across drama, cinema, music, singing and theater.
This year’s ceremony is generating particular interest following the announcement that Syrian
actor Mu’tasim Al-Nahar and Lebanese media personality and actress Maya Abu Al-Hassan will host the event.
The evening will also feature competition among numerous stars and productions for major drama and music awards, alongside a number of special tributes.
Murex d’Or 2026 Date and Venue
Murex d’Or 2026 will be held on Saturday, September 5, at Casino du Liban, where preparations
are underway to welcome artists, media personalities and invited guests.
Preparations include the stage, red carpet, artistic performances, award presentations and special tributes.
The ceremony is expected to bring together leading Lebanese and Arab personalities from drama, music and entertainment.
Murex d’Or 2026 Marks the 26th Edition
The 2026 Murex d’Or follows the special 2025 edition that celebrated the award’s silver jubilee.
That ceremony honored a wide range of Arab artists and productions, increasing anticipation surrounding this year’s event.
Launched in 2000, the Murex d’Or Awards have continued to recognize outstanding artistic achievements in Lebanon and the wider Arab world.
Stars Expected at Murex d’Or 2026
Several prominent names have been linked to the competitions and honors at Murex d’Or 2026.
Among the names mentioned are Egyptian actor Amr Saad and actress Reham Abdel Ghafour, in addition to stars from Lebanon and Syria.
The list also includes Karen Rizkallah, Yorgo Chalhoub, Randa Kaadi, Joe Bou Eid, Qusai Khouli and Caris Bashar.
The series “Al-Haram” is also expected to receive recognition during the ceremony following the success achieved by the production and its cast.
Murex d’Or 2026 Judging Panels
The judging panels have a central role in selecting winners across the various Murex d’Or 2026 categories.
The juries include experts from the fields of music, singing, acting, drama, directing, writing and production.
Each jury evaluates nominated artists and productions within its respective categories
before the winners are announced during the ceremony.
Music Awards Jury
The music jury includes several prominent figures from the worlds of singing, composition and music.
Members include musician Wadih Abi Raad, singer Pascale Saqr, poet Nizar Francis and singer Nader Khoury.
The jury also features Lara Hafez, Jessica Warda Al-Murr, Fadi Bou Saeed, Fadia Tanb Al-Hajj, director Charles Shalala, and conductors Abdo Munther and Abdo Hosni.
The panel evaluates songs, musical works and music videos competing for the year’s awards.
Drama Awards Jury
The drama jury includes a group of actors, writers, directors and producers.
Among its members are Syrian actress Suzan Najm Al-Din, screenwriter
Reem Hanna and Lebanese Actors’ Syndicate president Nehme Badawi.
The jury also includes screenwriter Nadine Jaber, writer Mona Tayeh, director Leila Kanaan and director-producer Julian Maalouf.
Actress Julia Kassar, producer Isaac Fahd and actor Kamil Salameh are also part of the panel.
Murex d’Or 2026 Drama Award Categories
The Murex d’Or 2026 drama categories recognize leading actors,
supporting performers and successful television and film productions.
Among the major categories are Best Lebanese Actress in a Leading Role, Best Lebanese Actress in a
Supporting Role, Best Lebanese Actor in a Leading Role and Best Lebanese Actor in a Supporting Role.
The awards also feature Best Arab Actress and Best Arab Actor, in addition to honors for Lebanese television series and films.
Competition is expected to be strong due to the large number of acclaimed Arab productions and performances considered during the evaluation period.
Murex d’Or 2026 Music and Singing Awards
Music and singing represent another major part of Murex d’Or 2026.
The categories include Lebanese Female Singer of the Year, Lebanese Male Singer of the Year, Arab Female Singer of the Year and Arab Male Singer of the Year.
Awards are also presented for Best Lebanese Song, Best Arab Song and Best Music Video.
Lebanese artist Tania Kassis is among the announced competitors, participating in three categories:
Best Lebanese Female Artist, Best Lebanese Song for “Layli Wara Layli” and Best Music Video.
Fierce Competition for Drama Awards
Competition is expected to be particularly strong in the Best Arab Actor and Best Arab Actress categories.
Both awards traditionally attract considerable attention because they recognize
performances that achieved strong popular and critical success.
Several Lebanese productions are also competing in television and acting categories,
