Lebanon’s men’s and women’s rugby union teams have departed for the Jordanian city of Aqaba.
Led by the Secretary General of the Lebanese Rugby Union, Igle Zreik, the teams are heading to take part in the Asia Rugby Union Championship.
The tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7 of this month, with a number of Asian teams participating.
Both Lebanese teams are entering this continental event with the goal of delivering respectable technical performances.
The aim is to raise Lebanon’s name high and affirm the presence of Lebanese rugby on the Asian stage.
The Lebanese Rugby Union hopes the participation will be a positive milestone for both teams, and that our male and female players succeed in delivering a performance worthy of the reputation of Lebanese sport.
