LeBron leads Philadelphia to strong season opener

LeBron James led the Philadelphia 76ers to a 106–100 win over the New York Knicks, in the opening game of his 24th season in the NBA.

The 41-year-old star overcame a hostile reception from the Madison Square Garden crowd.

He scored 14 points, adding 7 assists and 9 rebounds, kicking off his journey with his new team with an important victory.

Strong defense defies the boos
New York fans booed every time the in-house announcer called out James’ name.

The player also got into a verbal exchange with a fan, but he kept his focus on the court.

After the game, James praised Philadelphia’s defensive performance, stressing that the team had a good start despite shooting struggles.

He added that he is gradually regaining his rhythm, just over two weeks into working with his new teammates.

Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey topped Philadelphia’s scoring chart with 28 points, playing a key role in sealing the win over the defending champions.

Hopes of ending the title drought
LeBron James joined Philadelphia after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, taking on the experience with the fourth team of his career.

He aims to end the 76ers’ 43-year wait for a championship.

The lineup also includes Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown, boosting the team’s title ambitions.

Meanwhile, Knicks fans celebrated a title that ended a 53-year wait, with demand pushing the cheapest ticket price above $2,000.
