Egyptian star Ahmad Ezz is returning to the world of action and suspense in the film “El Aref 2,”
following the release of the first teaser for the project alongside the start of official preparations for the new installment.
The second part comes about five years after the release of the first “El Aref” film in 2021, which made a notable mark among cybercrime action films.
First teaser for “El Aref 2”
Writer Mohamed Sayed Bashir revealed the first teaser for “El Aref 2” yesterday, Wednesday, September 30, on his Facebook account.
The clip lasted only about 10 seconds but delivered a quick dose of excitement. Ahmad Ezz appeared
in the teaser amid a setting that hints at a powerful return to the world of chases and action.
The clip was released after the announcement of the start of official preparations for the film.
Mohamed Sayed Bashir began work sessions with Ahmad Ezz and director Ahmed Alaa El Deeb,
in the presence of producer Mohamed Rashidy and artistic producer Hany Abdallah.
The team is preparing to move into the filming phase in the coming period, with additional details about the cast and filming locations to be revealed gradually.
“El Aref 2” continues Younes’s journey
The new installment continues the story of the character “Younes,” played by Ahmad Ezz in the first film.
The character revolves around an information technology expert who finds himself in a dangerous confrontation with hackers and criminal gangs.
The film’s world is built around cybercrime and a battle of wits, alongside chase scenes and confrontations that were a key element in the first part.
The story of the first part of “El Aref”
“El Aref” was released in 2021 and told the story of Younes, who lives with his wife and daughter before his life suddenly changes.
Younes enters the world of hacking and faces a network of criminals and hackers.
As events unfold, the confrontation spans more than one country and turns into a series of conflicts and chases.
The cast of the first part, alongside Ahmad Ezz, included Ahmed Fahmy, Carmen Bsaibes,
Mahmoud Hemida, Mostafa Khater, Mohamed Mamdouh, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Zuhair Al-Noubani, Hazem Ehab, and Kenzy Rmah.
The film was written by Mohamed Sayed Bashir and directed by Ahmed Alaa El Deeb.
