A draw has decided Oman’s qualification to the semifinal of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
This came after the Gulf football federation held an urgent meeting on Tuesday to determine the team that would qualify from second place in Group A.
The closing night of Group A matches in “Gulf 27” saw dramatic developments.
Iraq lost to host nation Saudi Arabia 0-2, while Oman beat Kuwait 3-1, allowing Saudi Arabia to top the group with a perfect record of 9 points.
Iraq and Oman both finished with 4 points.
They were also tied in goals scored, goals conceded, and the number of yellow cards.
