IDAL Strengthens Investment Cooperation with the UAE: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Organization for the Promotion of Investment in Lebanon (IDAL), Dr. Majid Mneimneh, discussed during a visit to the United Arab Emirates ways to strengthen investment cooperation between Lebanon and the UAE and explore opportunities for economic partnership.
Manimneh met with the Director General of the Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Lootah, in the presence of Lebanon’s Ambassador to the UAE, Tarek Manimneh, and a number of officials.
The meeting focused on leveraging UAE expertise in developing the business environment and improving services provided to investors.
The two sides also discussed developing direct channels for information exchange and communication with Emirati businesspeople.
This step aims to present well-researched Lebanese investment opportunities that align with investors’ interests and needs.
Manimneh emphasized that “IDAL” is working to transform meetings with Emirati institutions into practical partnerships.
He noted that the UAE’s experience serves as an advanced model for developing the business environment and attracting investment.
Manimneh also visited the Dubai Ports World Group, where he learned about the Jebel Ali Free Zone.
In particular, he examined the one-stop-shop system and integrated digital platforms.
Discussions focused on modernizing and digitizing IDAL’s services, as well as developing an electronic platform to track applications, projects, and investment data.
These steps will facilitate investment in Lebanon, streamline services, and connect investors with available opportunities and projects.
